The Apprentice gets a face lift
25th March 2007

Sir Alan Sugar, feared inquisitor from BBC TV's "The Apprentice" has admitted to having cosmetic surgery.

The gruff 60 year old entrepeneur has undergone surgery to have the bags under his eyes removed and the operation, carried out by renowned Harley Street specialist Dr Fagan, was done earlier this year. Although he did not make the procedure public, news of the treatment was leaked to the newspapers so Sir Alan had to own up.

Saying that he "looked and felt younger", Sir Alan also confirmed that we won't see the results immediately in the new series of "The Apprentice" which airs on Wednesday. Evidently the operation was done too late for its effects to be seen in the early rounds, but the final - which has not yet been filmed - will feature a new look Sir Alan Sugar.

What next? Donald Trump with a comb over? Heaven forbid...
